This wooden character by Jack Coats didn't need a hearing aid, but his ear did need aid which I was happy to provide.

A little work; big results. A wig replacement and some added color to the cheeks and lips. What a difference.
It's obvious the eyes of this figure needed remounting. And he was a bit pale - a fresh coat of put put some color into his face. Friendly gent.

The owner of this nice figure just wanted it to have a "new look" He provided the description and I followed his direction.
Self-centering mechanics are being added to the eyes of this figure.

Before and After
This Jerry Mahoney came to me with mouth issues - gaps and cracks. I closed the gaps, rebuilt the eye mechanics so the eyes would self-center, repainted the head, added a wig and, if I recall correctly, built a new body. Very attractive character was the result.

This (above) was a do-it-yourself project by a customer who requested that I install the mechanics, paint and wig the head he had built. Normally I do not accept this type of request, but this face caught my fancy. I made an exception.
Before and After
New strings, springs, levers, paint, eyebrows and wig.
Before and After In for leather replacement under the mouth and a fresh coat of paint.

Ventriloquist figures have an advantage when old age causes every joint in the body to be loosened. Just take it all apart, grab the glue, and the reassemble it. Better than new!

"Before" photos make it possible to repaint a figure, matching original color tones and details.

Living mouth" Knee Pal receives replacement leather, new paint, eyebrows and wig.
This older Danny O'Day came in to have the rubber band replaced in his mouth, but left proudly with a "standard upgrade" (new hollow body, head on head post with trigger control for his mouth).

repair.

Double the work; double the pleasure.

Eyes repaired, head repainted, and wig replaced.

Neck
surgery!
Old torso recovered. Old arms, hands and legs replaced with new.

The owner wanted this vintage doll's mouth repaired and the old wig removed. Then repainted as original so the doll could be added to his collection.
Total overhaul!

(Very early Maher figure) Before and After
The mechanics (by George Eazer) on this vintage Maher head had to be removed in order to fix a broken solder joint on one winker. Easy since I used very similar mechanical design on my first figures - because it was the same George Eazer who taught me!
Finished!

The over sized gaps on either side of this mouth were closed before the head was repainted. Moving eyes and raising eyebrows also added.

Vintage crazed composition hands, repaired, sealed, and repainted.

Broken mouth fixed, new side to side moving eyes, raising eyebrows, repaint, and wig.
